World Environment Day is celebrated annually on the 5th of June. This year the day is celebrated under the motto “Restoration of Ecosystems”.
AMOR – Mozambican Recycling Association, intends to hold events related to this commemorative date and addresses its invitation to its followers and the general public to participate taking into account the following schedule:
Maputo – Meeting Triunfo beach (Costa do Sol), Ecoponto Repensar (Costa do Sol), Três Árvores Beach (Costa do Sol), Fishermen’s Village (Fisherman’s Village Market), Triunfo Primary School (Triunfo neighbourhood – Costa do Sol) and Costa do Sol Complete Primary School (in front of the Fisherman’s Village Market), from 6:30 am to 11:00 am, with the following activities: Cleaning at Costa do Sol beach; Walk in the mangrove of Fisherman’s Village; Tree planting and, Atelier (reuse of materials).
Beira – Meeting at Veleiros and Estoril beaches, and in the Macurungo neighbourhood, entrance to Manganhe, near the Hospital, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, with the following activities: Cleaning at Veleiros Beach and Exhibition of Handicraft Products , Cleaning at Estoril beach, and planting trees in the Macurungo neighbourhood, at the entrance to Manganhe, close to the Hospital.
These activities will be developed respecting the current prevention measures of COVID-19, with a maximum number of 150 participants, so arrive early and bring your canteen with water; protective measures to COVID-19; sun protection; footwear and gloves. We count on you!
