As part of the World Cleanup Day celebrations, the Mozambican Recycling Association (AMOR), in partnership with the Beira Municipal Council, held a cleanup day that mobilized hundreds of participants in various parts of the city.
The initiative, which was attended by the Mayor of Beira, Albano Carige, aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage the active participation of society in the preservation of urban space. The action involved public institutions, private companies, community associations and numerous volunteers, all united by a common cause: to contribute to a cleaner, more resilient and sustainable Beira.
The day was considered a success by the organizers and participants, who appealed for the continuation of similar actions, reinforcing that the sustainability of the municipality depends on the commitment of all its citizens.
