AMOR attended the 20th anniversary of MICOA – Ministry for Coordination of Environmental Action, which took place on December 18, 2014, in the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre, under the motto “MICOA – 20 years serving the communities for sustainable development “.
Professionals from the environment fields and from universities, exhibitors, MICOA staffs, FUNAB and others public and private institutions attended the event to expose and promote environmental preservation activities.
AMOR exposed paper and cardboard recycling boxes, charcoal briquettes made out of organic waste, bags for waste separation, and showed pictures that illustrate the consequences of improper waste management in urban centers. In addition, AMOR brought a biodiesel sample made out of used cooking oil. Finally, AMOR promoted workshops to produce purses with Tetra Pack packaging to strengthen the concept of recycling and the importance of the concept of 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) to preserve the environment.
