Sustainability is a long-term action

In the project of integrated management of recyclable waste, organic waste is used for the production of agricultural inputs, which within the CTR is used to promote sustainable agriculture.

The application of the compost improves the chemical characteristics of the soil, taking the nutrients that were released in the composting process.

The application of biochar improves the physical characteristics of the soil, contributing to the retention of water in the soil.

In the images it is possible to see one of the benefits of the project and also the different stages of growth of the coriander planted to be sold.

This coriander was eventually sold to local restaurants and markets. A success story that uses integrated management and the circular economy to generate income and hope for the displaced who ended up losing everything due to the damage caused by cyclones IDAI and KENNETH.
