Summary of Activities – January – Beira

The Mozambican Recycling Association closed its activities in 2019 with the installation and inauguration of the ecological tree in Praça dos Continuadores, containing about 5000 plastic PET-type bottles, the installation of community and school ecopoints and the delivery of two tricycles to two ecopoints Community waste collection schemes.

In January 2020, the Mozambican Recycling Association concluded with the installation of school ecopoints for the segregation of two types of waste, aluminum and plastic, in 13 educational entities included in the current project Citizens Friendly of the Environment, funded by the European Union, only two universities are missing to reach the goal of 15 ecopoints installed in 15 educational entities in the city of Beira.

In the same month, the Mozambican Recycling Association held a meeting to present the project with the different partner sectors that make up the Municipal Council of Beira. The meeting, which was attended by 22 representatives from the different sectors of the Municipal Council of Beira, including the Institutional Councilor Mr. José Manuel Moisés, representing the President of the Municipal Council of Beira, had the objective of presenting the activities carried out in 2019 , also as the presentation of the agenda for the year 2020.
