AMOR is awarded the Certificate of initiative with high potential of Social Entrepreneurship (IES ) .

AMOR was awarded the certificate of initiative with high potential in Social Entrepreneurship (IES) on the 1st of April2014 , at the Polytechnic University (ISPU) for its network of Ecopoints. The IES (Institute of Social Entrepreneurship) aims ‘s mission is to at inspiring and creating a better world through social entrepreneurship .
The network of Ecopontos network of the Mozambican Recycling Association (AMOR) , was recognized as having a high potential for social entrepreneurship, and awarded the ES+ label, on a project sponsored by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Calouste Guibenkian foundation.
The network of Ecopoints installed in the cities of Maputo and Matola contributes to social inclusion of waste pickers who sell recyclable materials (paper, cardboard , cans, glass , cooking oil and electronic waste… ), as well as for an income generation for the Ecopoint managers who benefit from the sales of recyclable materials to the recycling sector, and the mobile collectors who get the waste directly from private homes and institutions. The Ecopoint network already allows for the recycling of 80 to 100 tons of waste per month.
