AMOR visits the construction works of warehouses at OCB’s

As part of the “Citizens Friends of Environment” project implemented by AMOR – Mozambican Recycling Association and financed by the European Union, AMOR visited last week the construction works of warehouses for the deposit of recyclable waste from recycling bins in Seven (7) OCB’s – Community Based Organizations, in the City of Beira.

This was a routine visit that aims to assess the stage of construction of the warehouses and understand the difficulties and obstacles that the OCB’s have during the works. Thus, AMACO, ADCS, OJOLISC, ADEMO, CERECIDE, OCDESP and AJUCRE try to finish the warehouses as much as possible, as they allow for a better conservation of waste that will then be delivered to recycling companies.

Warehouses contribute to better waste management and encourage good environmental practices within communities.
