On October 16th, 2018, in the conference room of the Association of Deficient People of Mozambique (ADEMO) in Maputo, it was debuted the project “Strengthening dialogue between Civil Society and the City Council of Maputo City in Solid Waste Management” , funded by Innovative Projects of Civil Society and of the Coalitions of Actors (PISCCA). The event was attended by the 3 associations involved in the project, namely: Kutenga, Asscodecha and Maktel Bacissa representing respectively the neighborhoods of Maxaquene, Chamanculo and Hulene, as well as the AMOR team and 2 representatives of the Innovative Projects of Civil Society and the Coalitions of Actors (PISCCA).
There were moments of entertainment and the presentation of the project in question by the Project Manager, where at the end of the presentation gave the opportunity for the members present to give their contribution and clarify their doubts. Subsequently, there were work in groups on the analysis of the Solid Waste Management of each neighborhood represented, culminating in the survey of the actual situation of waste management in each neighborhood involved in this project.
